When is Christmas at Kew?
Christmas at Kew runs from 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, on selected evenings only. It is an evening event after dark, and it needs its own ticket for a fixed time. The daytime ticket does not include it, and the evening ticket does not include the daytime visit.
It is closed on 16, 23 and 28 November and on 25 December, and on 24 December it closes at 21:00. Parking is limited and has to be booked together with the ticket.
What time do the glasshouses close?
In the warm months the glasshouses, the Palm House, the Temperate House and the Princess of Wales Conservatory, close at 17:00, earlier than the gardens. If the glasshouses are your priority on a long summer day, see them first and leave the lawns for the evening.
What are the Treetop Walkway hours?
In summer the Treetop Walkway is open from 10:00 to 18:00, with last entry at 17:45. It fits easily into a morning visit.
How long do I need for Kew?
Plan half a day as a minimum. The gardens are large, and the glasshouses alone deserve an unhurried visit. If you love plants, or you want to walk to the Pagoda and back, give it the whole day.
In winter the gardens close early, so arrive at 10:00 and see the glasshouses first.
